W00t, first post of the new year! XD

Anyways, since the blog seems to have died except for the odd random bit of spam, this might be a good time to show off something I found a while back. See, when Hollywood movies are brought to Japan, they usually get a subtitled version and a dubbed version (sidestepping the whole subs vs dubs debate). Which means that if you watch movies in Japan, you occasionally get stuff like this:

juz finished watching Next… yes it’s the movie. Adapted from the book “The Golden Man” written by Phillip K. Dick, the guy who wrote “The Minority Report” (Screen adaptation : Minority Report) and “We Can Remember It for You Wholesale” (Screen adaptation : Total Recall), oh and if ur interested Paycheck is also a screen adaptation of one of his works

Outline:

The story revolves around one person, Chris Johnson. A Las Vegas showroom magician who has a secret, he can see a few minutes into his future. He lies low under a false name in Las Vegas, eager to live a normal man’s life. Yet his talent was no magic trick and his supposed luck was not going to go unnoticed for long. And when a threat of a nuclear holocaust is imminent, FBI agent Callie Ferris seeks out Johnson and convince him to help stop what may be the end of 8 million lives.

Good storyline nonetheless from Phillip K. Dick, very fast pace with a twist towards the end. If u enjoyed minority report, you’ll probably like this.

Suzumiya Haruhi no DANSU

4chan reports that the DVD release of Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu comes with an extra video clip featuring the full animated dance (ie sans all the credits and stuff) for the ED theme, Hare Hare Yukai. Normally, I would treat anything from the cesspool of the interweb with a great deal of skepticism, but a youtube search has provided the following link:
