Chalet Part 2

Juz a gentle reminder again, in case anyone of us forgotten about it. There’s a Chalet at Aloha Loyang from 23 – 25 Sep. So please keep it free as much as possible. There’s plenty of rooms and beds to go around. Please inform ppl who might be interested to come too (i believe more = merrier/cheaper in this case)

as usual, ill always include informative information so that everyone is well informed.

Basically, juz take the shuttle bus at the stipulated time to the Chalet.

Ill be booking the bbq catering in 2 wks time. If no one objects or has any suggestion, ill be getting from EZB Catering. Plus misc stuff that they dun provide. Amt and quantity at my own discretion.

Ok… now i need everyone’s help now. Going to a chalet without entertainment is silly. So i hope everyone would chip in and help if u can.

Right now these are the equipments we will need.

Mahjong Paper
Mahjong Set X2
Mahjong Table (no necessary but good to have. Cos the the games table over there are not for mahjong)
Console (PS3, Xbox, SNES) – Optional
Laptops ( If you guys wants…. lets have a COD4/DOTA Lanparty, but we need a switch or router…)
Cards (Poker cards)
TableCloths/detergent/sponge
Comdoms/Bilbos/A-plug

Personal Items that you SHOULD bring.
Change of clothes
Soap/shampoo
Swimming costume / Trunks / decent shorts that wun fall off after jumping into water
(we didnt get a POOL VIEW CHALET JUST TO ‘VIEW’ you know)

Thanks to everyone who turned up on Saturday, I hope you guys enjoyed the steamboat and aftermeal LAN session. I know I had fun knifing all of you.

Dinner Reservations

Okay guys, I have made the reservation at Soon Heng Steamboat. Apparently, they have BBQ too. Our reserved table for 13 starts from 5.30pm so we meet at Lavendar MRT 4.45pm. Date is 2nd August 2008 Saturday.

The list of people who’ve reported strength by order of confirmation:

The instructions to get there were:
1. From Lavendar food court go towards 7-Eleven.
2. From 7-Eleven, head towards OCBC bank.
3. The retaurant is right at the road junction. Probably with an orange wall.

Expect to pay about $20 each. I don’t know whether that’s cheap or not, but compared to the $49.50 dinner we had last year at Vivocity, I think this is a lot cheaper.

Update: Pax count has been finalised at 16. For those who haven’t replied, I really can’t accommodate anymore since booking has to be done in advance.

Triple Birthday Dinner

Nick (Lim) and Nick (Ng) and me will be having some sort of birthday dinner to celebrate Nick (Lim)’s belated adulthood birthday, Nick (Ng)’s 22nd birthday and my August birthday on the 2nd of August (Saturday). Your presence will be the best gift and we’ll get a cheaper place this time to eat at. Anyone here who has their birthday in July and August can join in to make this a bigger celebration.

Stephen Chow Movie Marathon

As the title suggests, I’m trying to organise a movie marathon of all Stephen Chow movies next weekend (13/14/15 June). Yes I know it will clash with the launch of MGS4, then again, it’s my house and my TV, so we could just put the controller down to watch movies for 1 day.

If not possible, then perhaps end of June? I was thinking of a BBQ cum movie marathon but I’m too lazy to organise and plan. Another issue to consider for this movie marathon would be getting the VCDs and DVDs of the movies. There are some must-haves, I’ll get lian or kwok to list them down later, please add in titles if you remember them vividly. The must have of course, would be what I think is his best movie (or 2-parter movie), the Journey to the West biopic. Awesome stuff, and I cried manly tears.

In fact, I sort of think I got my cliched views of romance from this movie.

Hey guys! To remove the dull from this blog, haha i shall post something…

Let’s ~~step~~ meet up this upcoming weekend! Saturday or Sunday is fine, probably evening time for a short dinner and desert/supper? Sunday we can meet to watch the 2 EPL giants clash matches… Man U vs Liverpool’s at 9:30pm, Chelsea vs Arsenal at 12am (if our dear Chelsea and Arsenal fans wan to stay on to watch e match)… Please reply whether you’re free k! Btw my friends say that step up 2 only the dance moves are nice, no plot de… so if u guys like watching ppl dancing ya step up 2 is the movie for u

Nothing has been posted here for a long time, which is really very sad.

Anyway, two upcoming outings coming up. First up is kbox this coming tuesday at Clementi. Next is the eva 1.0 screening happening this thursday.

CNY Gathering (Update)

First of all, a happy CNY to all!

The bad news is: I was just told by my parents that the 15/16 weekend, and the following 22/23 weekend are both unavailable for holding the gathering. Don’t ask me why.

They however, suggested this coming Saturday instead (9 Feb 08). I’ll need to gauge your response.

Otherwise, I’m sorry to say, we’ll have to look for an alternative venue, or not have it at all.
