Ii Densetsu wo Tsukurou

I don’t know how many people are taking JLPT this coming December but here’s a Vocab list for those taking JLPT1 or JLPT2.

The vocab for JLPT2 starts from page 124.

I did say I was trying to create a miracle by chionging for level 1 within a year of achieving JLPT3 and I did manage to keep up with all the Advance classes. But apparently, Level 1 is something out of this world. It isn’t difficult, contrary to what many say, it’s more of luck-based. Basically, to be 100% sure that I can pass with super grades is only when my Japanese level is as good as my Chinese. The syllabus consists of very easy terms for Japanese if they’ve been reading books and newspapers constantly like how we have read Chinese text all our lives. Hardly do you find a word you don’t know in the sea of Chinese characters on newspapers right?

But we’re not Japanese and we don’t read Japanese newspapers everyday. Well, I do read Japanese news everyday via RSS but it’s not for 21 years.

So basically, I am now at a point where I find JLPT2 very easy but JLPT1 rather confusing. Time to chew the grammar book and vocab list, without screwing up my Uni academics that is.

Good luck to all taking exams and JLPT.

This girl I got to know in one of my modules apparently said that if you got all your grammar down for jlpt 2, jlpt 1 is no problem, provided that you have the range of vocab that’s required.

I don’t know if that’s an accurate representation or not, but she’s stayed in japan for 5 years before and has the jlpt 1 qualifications so i guess the only problem is that you’re not as exposed to the language as she is.

    Good luck for the exam.

I’m not sure but I can do JLPT2 papers rather easily but not JLPT 1…
Hope I do fine. You’re not taking JLPT this year?

Nope, I stopped jap lessons already. It’s a pity, but I have my priorities, somehow what used to be my favourite hobbies has dropped to the lower end of the spectrum.

If only there were some kind of incentive for doing so.

I’m taking 4 this year. Am wanting to do JLPT2 papers for next year. Teach me the way of the JLPT!

find a job in Japan that requires active use of business-type language and keigo, stick with it for 1 year at least and then you should be able to tackle JLPT 1 with ease! =3

Btw, I personally feel it’s useless to take JLPT 4, or 3, because they’re not progressively required in the quest for JLPT 1. I’d usually recommend to take 3 then take 1… not that i have any evidence to prove it, up to your discretion i guess.
