Summer Festival at the Japanese School!

Summer! Girls! Yukatas!This year’s Summer Festival (a.k.a Natsu Matsuri) will be held at The Japanese School(Changi Campus) on the 25th of August 2007.
Last year’s festival was over at The elementary school over in the Clementi Campus which was rather small.
The campus’s alot bigger so that you don’t have to worry about accidentely touching that cute girl in her Yukata.
There will be plently of Japanese food and drinks, and also not forgetting the games and events as well. It would definitely be an eye-opener for first-timers and an enjoyable one for those going again this year.

Location: Summer Festival at The Japanese School Changi Campus
Date: 25 August (Saturday)
Time: 6pm onwards
Cost of Ticket: $10/set (Includes Admission + Meal coupon + Free coupon 12pcs)

For those who would like the tickets, please leave the number of tickets you require by 7pm, 31 July 2007. Do also note that no cancellation will be allowed.

I hereby declare the gathering a success and I hope everybody remembered to pay Ken? From Mahjong to PS2, I guess everyone enjoyed themselves. A little sorry to Windbell though, seems to have been isolated. Dude you must initiate interaction!

Ken was on Bankai and made us great home-made Italian food on demand, standard enough to shame that of Pasta Mania and Swensen’s.Truly a spectacular sight. Or taste. I actually liked the Mushroom Pasta thingy best but only had the chance to have one single bowl. That’s one dish I’ll learn for sure, that is after perfecting my uber-flawed carrot soup.

The main objective of Nick, Ken and me to push for this gathering is because all of us CPL/3SG(NS) dudes are matriculating into University soon, and surprisingly none in the same Faculty, Kwok and Ken as exception. Some of us are already working out there. I’m predicting that such gatherings will no longer be actually possible in future as the stress and academic workload builds up and this supposed last gathering is rather important to all of us who braved the 2 years of hell together. Thanks for the attendance and may we gather again for 40+ rounds of Mahjong once more. Rather surprising that Mahjong is the main activity when geeks gather, normally boring anime discussion sessions would have been more befitting.

Happy Birthday to Nick too.

1Obn gathering @ Halcyon’s House

Ok guys, this is it: The official 1Obn gathering. Our host this time would be HalcyonDF, who incidentally, would also be the chef for this outing. Details for the gathering are as follows:

Place to meet: Kembangan MRT (Ken’s house is 5 minutes away from the station)
Time: 7pm
Events: Dinner, followed by stayover for those interested (highly encouraged actually)
Dinner menu:
cream of mushroom
spaghetti aglio olio
chicken pie
grilled fish
potato salad
caesar salad
straw mushroom + asparagus wrapped in bacon

As for the entertainment portion, we have mahjong, cards and a screening of Byousoku 5cm (which Windbell has kindly agreed to bring). After from that, we would appreciate it very much if anyone could bring a console (like a ps2) to liven things up. Talking cock is also fine, but please keep in mind that Halcyon’s family would be sleeping upstairs, so noise should be kept reasonable, yeah.

As for those staying over, please, please, please bring towels and a change of clothes, because Halcyon’s family is quite particular about cleanliness. Oh, and bring about $15 along too, expenses for the food. Bring more actually, because we might be going out for midnight supper.
