Okay, let me clarify, the word EMO here is actually an acronym. If you’d like to know, EMO here would stand for E-penis, Mammaries and Over-(Insert your favourite adjective here).
In any case, if any of you are wondering if I’ve suddenly developed the good caveman habit of waking at 5 in the morning and sleeping at 8 in the evening, the answer is a clear NO; I’ve been awake since 10 a.m. on 29 Jun 07. Who wants to know though (or rather, who bothers to doubt me). I’d also like to take the opportunity to stress that despite the heavy cloud hanging around me these days, apparently silver linings are not an urban legend, and I actually spotted it just now, at around 3 in the morning. Shit, I’m digressing.
Back to the topic, dear Mr Resident troll Mr LianYL has kindly renewed his site account for another year, which means 1Obn has been online for almost 1 year! Yay! 1 year on, many things have changed, and to reflect that change, I would really very much like to rename the organisation as 1Obn (NS), but then we have members like Robin who are still enjoying life in there, so I guess it’s not really appropriate as yet.
Next up would be renewal of membership. Kind of noticed that a few members have not been commenting, nor have they been appearing for 1Obn events for quite some time. As such, would like urge all members of 1Obn to leave a comment with regard to the post, so that I know that you people are still alive. Somewhere. Out there. Also, what about opening our organisation to new members for a limited time in a limited way (through recommendations from existing members etc)?
Lastly, the Iron Chef of 1Obn, Omnivore (transformed into) semi-vegetarian Ken has kindly invited us over to his house for a gathering. Proposed date yet to be confirmed, but would likely be in the end of July. Ken will be cooking for us, but of course, asking him to bear the cost of hosting such a gathering would definitely not be nice, so we’d like to have a rough estimate of who’s coming to the party, and how much they’re willing to fork out for the gathering. Personally speaking, I’d suggest $10-15 per person, because the ingredients for the dishes (stuff like cream of mushroom, aglio olio etc) will not be cheap, honestly speaking.
Anyway, we hope to receive a response from you ASAP. Heard nothing about the upcoming Transformers movie? It’s because it’s been disguised.
