I know I might hear dissenting voices who prefer Hirano Aya’s “God Knows…” but if she doesn’t produce an off vocal version there’s nothing we can do about it.
Remarkably, Jia Han as usual suggested something really interesting: Scramble, School Rumble S1 OP. The roles have been set. The high pitch singers like me and Nick will do the Horie Yui part, which is apparently the entire song. The rest who sing low pitch will do the ‘Unscandal’ background support.
Here are the lyrics:
tsutaetai koto ga mou omo sugite
konomama tsuburechai sou desu
kotoba ni dekinai kimochi oo sugite
todokanai yo ano hito made chikakute tooi kyori

The bolded text are the unscandal parts. And the italised text are parts where only a small portion of the ‘Unscandal’ role people sing. Any volunteers? lol Thanks to Gendou for the lyrics, who took it from animelyrics.tv lol
Time to go practise guys. There’ll be a gathering at 1OBn Western HQ for recording soon. And KJ this time I expect you to join in :).
zer0, I sincerely apologise to you for any inconveniences.
Guys ah, I am very curious as to why you guys want to keep posting about this. The internet is free, and if zer0 is kind enough to delink us, we will be happy. If not, we should move this blog somewhere else. It is nice to have a little publicity once in a while, even if we’re branded as evil ‘hard-core’ stalkers (hahahaha someone called us ‘hardcore’). Which is ironic since none of us have the guts to stalk someone else anyway.
We shouldn’t come to the point of having to password-protect our posts. In any case, I’m deliberating on setting up an aggregator so that we don’t have to rely on wordpress alone, and YL can have fun with Nucleus. Of course, this means fresh blogs for the people who do not have one, which will be a problem. The funny thing is that I experienced an exact same problem a few years back, when my class blog had to shift address because its location was leaked and we were uncomfortable with it.
I knew this would happen someday. When the group of us are under some linkage that might make us seem like cheeky boys and stuff. Admin Nick has decided to literally turn it into a private blog, which I am totally fine with. However, instead of being appalled. I am actually more of amused by the entire incident.
From our point of view for those who frequent Cosafe:
1. Cosafe is a good chillout spot
2. The people there are surprisingly fun-loving
3. We accept that we cannot compare it to a maid cafe in Japan as the the target customers are totally different.
4. We are only a group named Otaku Battalion, and some of us aren’t really one.
From anyone outside the group, this is the case:
1. Who’s that bunch of rowdy fuckers hogging the maid’s attention?
2. They look young and geekish. Must be students. (No we’re not)
3. Fucking otakus. (No we’re not. Ok I am)
4. They frequent the cafe! These raging teekos.
5. I must compare the maid cafe with that of Japan. Because I am a closed-minded public member who’s not a 1337 member of the 1OBn as my mind is stuffed with shit.
6. AHA! I heard 20% off! Those bastards, I’m jealous.
7. See? I’ve proved they are otakus. They call themselves otakus. (Well, problem is 3/4 of us don’t give a shit about anime merchandise and manga)
Guys, this is just a matter of thwarted perception and conflicts in morals.
We think it’s okay to play games there, others think not.
We think it’s unethical to link blogs and shoot off biased views, others think not.
I mean zer0 refused to remove maid blogs from his site even after being requested to do so. Actually, I am rather creeped out that one would go to the extent of stalking the blogs of maids.
Our blog is on the internet hosted by a good guy, so it’s free for all to read. We can’t blame him for linking to us. Plus Zer0 doesn’t have much readers so it’s rather okay I presume. It’s called internet free speech, you can say anything you want, just not stuff that will land you in jail.
You guys can try reasoning with him but that’s his blog. It’s his rules. Want to retaliate? The only way you can do so is get a damn popular blog up then start a flame war. Which is dumb. The solution to this problem I feel is to just heck care.
I mean we all know there are people at the cafe who think the same as he does but we chose to heck care. Now why even care about the comments of the a puny proportion of the internet? And last thing, you guys should cut down on your visits, it’s bad on the wallet. Be like me, stop socialising and watch anime, do figurine photoshoots and talk to your model kits.
1Obn’s blog will be locked from public viewing until the storm settles.
It’s really irritating when the blog gets unwarranted attention, because someone out there misinterprets the posts, and does not bother to clarify.
While the situation is being defused, I appeal to all members to remain calm, and not engage in needless retaliation.
But seriously, wtf, wtf, wtf.
