This is a MUST-watch when it comes out. I can’t provide any details now as I’m rushing to meet Shane for chicken rice in an hour’s time. But here’s the link to the 1:39 min trailer. It is utterly beautiful, and so is the piano piece too. I’m keeping my eye on this(and still waiting for Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo to come out on dvd).

I thought the designs and animation looked familiar and sure enough, after checking with Nick, it’s Makoto Shinkai of Comix Wave, the same guy who did the 24-minute “Hoshi no Koe” (Voices of a Distant Star) OVA single-handedly on a Mac.
Eh, you put the family name at the back by accident. It’s Shinkai Makoto, you can see the kanji from frame 1:26-1:29 of the trailer I posted.

erm hi… is it me or tat when i dled e file it’s a 5 min file showing some jap words & yahoo japan logo wif nice music u hear in RI library and nice scenary background which changes every 30 seconds or so..

Victor, pity you don’t understand the Japanese words nor what they were saying. Nice scenery yes, nice music in RI library? RI library must have been a great chill-out point then.
BTW when we call an anime good, we don’t just see nice sceneries. We take directing and sequencing into consideration too. KyoAni does such stuff skilfully, I hope they do FMP4.

Which means what exactly? I got a black screen and some lines of spoken dialogue before my PC stopped responding everytime I tried watching it. On the other hand, everyone else seems to be able to see it just fine, so my PC’s probably got a few screws misplaced here and there *rolls eyes*
HD eats a lot of memory. Make sure you have enough RAM before attempting playing it. But my RAM is like 512MB at 133MHz, so I don’t see why you can’t play it.
On the other hand, it might just be your codecs are screwed up. If you don’t do video editing at all then use CCCP for anime viewing. It’s the most stable codec pack I’ve seen thus far. No support for RealMedia though.

Nick it’s a trailer. Nothing wrong about distributing a trailer. Unless you’re distributing FF7: AC trailers, which Square Enix thought it’d be gay that more people saw it.
